Co-Founder and Managing Director

Long Tian Ching co-founded Vance Group Ltd. in 2005. Prior to co-founding Vance, Mr. Long was a Vice President at Lazard, where he managed more than USD 5 billion of completed M&A transactions across Asia and across diverse sectors ranging from automotive to financial services to semiconductors. And prior to Lazard, he was an analyst for fixed income products and currencies at J P Morgan.

Long Tian Ching has an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar. He has two undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Economics (Finance). He was a recipient of the Rose Award for outstanding undergraduate research and the winner of the 1995 Philadelphia IEEE MicroMouse Robotics competition.

Mr. Long is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
 
 
   
   
 
 

Finance Director

David Wong joined the management team of Vance in 2006, taking responsibility for its finance, treasury and accounting functions. Prior to joining Vance, he spent several years at Lazard in Asia and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in New York working on cross-border mergers and acquisitions. More recently, he was with Carrier International Corporation (subsidiary of United Technologies Corp.) as part of their leadership associate program.

Mr. Wong has an MBA from INSEAD and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with dual degrees from the Wharton School and the College of Arts & Sciences. He is also the recipient of the Lawrence R. Klein Prize for outstanding research by an undergraduate in Economics.
